For example, The Energy Clinic’s work in community solar has evolved in response to changing law and policy. Description | The Environmental Justice Clinic is specifically devoted to environmental justice, an interdisciplinary practice at the intersection of civil rights and the environment. Professor Marianne Engelman-Lado, the founding Director of the Clinic, built it into a national model before joining the Biden administration’s EPA where she, like VLS, continues the fight against racial and economic disparities in environmental policies. |

Description | The U.S.-Asia Partnerships for Environmental Law is a program hosted by Vermont Law school that works collaboratively with government institutions, non-government organizations, lawyers, judges, lawmakers and others to promote effective environmental governance in Asia. The partnership’s mission is to generate scholarship and research on Asian and global environmental policy while providing academic programming and educational exchanges. The program launched a model in China that addresses critical environmental and energy challenges, improves policy, laws and regulations, and develops best practices in environmental protection and energy regulation. This successful model has been further applied to the Mekong Sub-region, including Myanmar, Lao PDR, Vietnam, and Cambodia. Resources include, publications, articles, presentations, collaborative research projects, and seasonal newsletters. Description | The Vermont Legal Food Hub connects farmers, food entrepreneurs, and food system organizations with free legal services. As primary administrator of the hub, the VLS Center for Agriculture and Food Systems (CAFS) places clients with volunteer attorneys.
